First Community Bank of Hillsboro was organized, chartered and opened in 1998 by a group of local investors who felt the need for a locally owned and operated bank.
During the first 3 years of the bank’s life, we grew rapidly and had to move to a larger location. In March 2002, the former Bass Funeral Home, with all its beauty and local history, became the new home of First Community Bank of Hillsboro. It was our goal during the transition period to preserve the building’s beauty and integrity. We added some extra space, a handicapped accessible entrance, a drive up with three lanes and an ATM to complete the remodeling of our bank.
In August 2017 we relocated our offsite ATM and night depository to 419 S Hamilton in order to give our customers improved and sheltered drive up ATM service.
